Washington, D.C. (January 5, 2024) – The Automated, Connected, Electric, Shared (ACES) Mobility Coalition is pleased to welcome two new members to its ranks as it continues to champion the full integration of shared autonomous vehicles within the U.S. transportation network. The ACES Mobility Coalition is proud to now have 13 board members, as well as four advisory members.
“The strength of the ACES Mobility Coalition is a direct result of its dedicated members. Our members include AV corporations focused on ACES mobility, public agencies deploying ACES technology, and public transportation advocates. It's this broad engagement of partners that will truly advance autonomous vehicle technology and deployment for all,” said ACES Mobility Coalition Executive Director Scott Belcher.
Joining as a private member is newly-established BENTELER© brand Holon, a new global manufacturer of electric autonomous vehicles dedicated to making public transit more accessible, sustainable, and efficient. Holon’s autonomous vehicles are designed to be accessible for people with disabilities, featuring low floors, wide doors, and wheelchair ramps. “Autonomous vehicles are the missing piece in the puzzle of a truly efficient and safe transportation system. We are excited to join the ACES Mobility Coalition to advance autonomous vehicles that create a more accessible world for everyone,” said Holon U.S. General Manager Gregory Crandell.
The Coalition will also gain an additional advisory member: The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA). The CTAA believes mobility is a basic human right, and advocates for transportation organizations that believe in providing all people access to safe and reliable public transportation. “For CTAA's members, a future with autonomous vehicles represents one where seniors reach essential appointments, rural residents access vital services, and people with disabilities experience newfound freedom. And that's a future we're here for,” said CTAA Executive Director Scott Bogren.
